Air / Seafreight Business Development

We are working on behalf of a forward thinking and proactive Freight Forwarding Logistics organisation to recruit an experienced AIR / SEA FREIGHT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has experience of working in the freight forwarding logistics industry and is conversant in Airfreight Import and Export services. Though this role is biased to Airfreight, Seafreight sales experience would also be an added advantage.
Covering a large territory with huge potential the role responsibilities will be to generate new business and achieve sales/revenue targets. Generating own leads, canvassing businesses, attending sales visits, preparing and presenting sales quotation proposals and acquiring business. A strong operations team will support all new business and grow the account, maximising profitability.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they have the airfreight/seafreight import or export experience, have either a proven track record in sales or strong operational knowledge and a natural flair for sales seeking that next step in their career.
An excellent basic salary & package available. Office based in Leeds and territory includes West Yorkshire, North East England and Scotland.
